# Cancel renewal, request a refund, or report an unexpected charge

To stop renewal, open **Billing & Plans** and turn off automatic renewal. Check the resulting renewal status before leaving the page.

## Confirm cancellation

1. Open Billing & Plans for the account being charged.
2. Turn off automatic renewal.
3. Review the renewal status and any access-end date shown.
4. Keep a record of the confirmation.

Deleting a project or no longer using an app is not evidence that its subscription renewal has been disabled. Verify the billing status separately.

See [Cancel Plan](https://docs.jetadmin.io/account/cancel-plan) for the cancellation terms.

## I was charged after attempting to cancel

Send support:

* The account email and app URL.
* The charge date, amount, and invoice reference, if available.
* When you attempted cancellation and the confirmation or screenshot you received.
* Whether you want to stop future renewal, request review of a past charge, or both.

If you already have an open billing conversation, add these details to that thread so the team can follow the history.

## How do I request a refund?

Contact support with the account and invoice details. Eligibility depends on the terms that apply to your subscription; cancellation alone is not confirmation that a refund has been approved. See [Refund Policy](https://docs.jetadmin.io/account/refund-policy).

Do not send full card numbers or payment security codes in chat.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.jetadmin.io/faq-and-troubleshooting/cancellation-and-unexpected-charges.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
