# AI credits: insufficient balance or usage limit

If the AI Builder shows “Not enough funds on balance” or says you have reached a usage limit, check the affected account's usage before retrying.

## Check your balance and plan

1. Open the account's billing and usage information.
2. Check the selected plan, available balance, and any reset date or limit shown.
3. Record the exact error and the action that triggered it: creating an app, editing an app, or running another AI feature.
4. If you recently changed plans, check that the plan shown matches your purchase.

AI building credits and request rate limits are different. An error mentioning “today” does not by itself establish when your monthly allowance resets. See [How credits work](https://docs.jetadmin.io/account/credits-and-rate-limits/how-credits-work).

## I paid, but still see a limit

Contact support through the Jet Admin chat with your app URL, plan, purchase date, error text, and a screenshot of the balance. Ask the team to check which allowance or limit was applied.

If a request failed, ask support to check its usage record before repeating a large generation. Do not assume that a failed request used no credits.

## Can I reset free credits or start a trial?

Check the terms offered in your account. Before starting a trial, confirm its duration, included credits, whether a card is required, and whether it converts to a paid subscription. If the account does not show these terms, ask support to confirm them.

For current plan features, see [Subscription and Billing](https://docs.jetadmin.io/account/subscription-and-billing).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.jetadmin.io/faq-and-troubleshooting/ai-credit-limit-errors.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
