# Review generated pages and logic

Treat the generated app as a draft to check against the job you described.

## Review a page

1. [Open the page in Preview](/ai-app-builder/refine-an-app/select-a-page.md).
2. Compare its labels and fields with the source schema.
3. Match one displayed record to the source record.
4. Test filters, search, sorting, and detail navigation.
5. Test an empty result and a record with missing optional fields.

## Review actions and logic

For an action, identify its inputs, destination, and expected result. Inspect any generated query, API call, workflow, or transformation before testing a write.

For example, an assignment action should update the selected ticket's Assigned to field, not every ticket or an unrelated field.

## Record the result

| Check                          | Expected result                              |
| ------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------- |
| Status filter set to Open | Only Open tickets appear. |
| Search for a ticket name | The matching ticket remains. |
| Open ticket details | The values match the selected source record. |
| Restricted user opens the page | Access matches the configured rules. |

Use [a focused change request](/ai-app-builder/refine-an-app/request-focused-changes.md) for each failed check. Repeat the check after the revision.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.jetadmin.io/ai-app-builder/refine-an-app/review-and-refine.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
